Endodontics is a field of dentistry which studies and treats the root canals of teeth. Our practice offers a mechanical endodontic procedure, which is much quicker and more comfortable than the classic manual root canal method, and also gives better results.

ULTRASONIC REMOVAL OF CALCULUS

Calculus (i.e. tartar) is hardened plaque that has been left on the tooth for some time and is impossible to remove with a toothbrush, and therefore requires ultrasonic scaling. Significant plaque and tartar build-ups can lead to cavities and tooth decay and can irritate the gums, causing an inflammation (gingivitis). After the removal of tartar additional sandblasting and polishing is advised, in order to smooth the surfaces of teeth.

SANDBLASTING

Drinking coffee, smoking and certain foods can cause extrinsic discolouration of teeth, i.e. teeth stains. AIR FLOW(r) sandblasting is a method of teeth stain removal by using a mix of water, compressed air and fine powder particles of sodium bicarbonate. The procedure includes sandblasting, teeth polishing and a fluoride treatment and takes some 30 minutes.

SEALING FISSURES

Healthy teeth surfaces that are more prone to decay due to deep grooves (called pits and fissures) may be protected by non-invasive application of sealants to such grooves.

Missing teeth may be replaced by dental bridges or removable dentures, or by a combination of the two. Depending on the patient's needs, we design crowns, bridges, combination works and veneers made from different materials (metal-based ceramics, ceramics, zirconium).

Replacement of a missing tooth or teeth is also possible with dental implants. Dental implants are surgically implanted into the bone of the jaw and are used to support a dental prosthesis (such as a crown, bridge, denture).

TEETH WITHENING/BLEACHING

Teeth whitening is performed in a single visit and takes some 45 minutes. The treatment, involving the use of a hydrogen peroxide teeth whitening gel, is comfortable and completely pain-free.

VENEERS

Veneers are prosthetic restorations placed over the front surface of a tooth in order to correct its colour, shape or size. We make composite veneers and ceramic (porcelain) veneers.

BONDING

Bonding is the application of a teeth-coloured composite resin, which has proven itself as a successful method to repair a decayed, chipped, cracked or discoloured tooth. The procedure is pain-free and most frequently involves no drilling.
